KOKOROSAKU v0.1.0-beta.13 released: save a pack's standard skill exactly as distributed
This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Japanese versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
On October 24, 2026, we released SAKU Builder v0.1.0-beta.13 as a pre-release on GitHub. SAKU Builder is part of KOKOROSAKU, a toolkit for creating, reviewing, and refining SAKU Characters. The SAKU Builder source code is open source. We also updated three SAKU Character Pack products to version 1.2.0. This post describes the changes since β.12, released on October 15, and the changes to those packs.
What is new in β.13
A pack's standard skill can now be saved exactly as distributed. “Save the pack standard (name tag signed; no ② or ③ settings)” in “④ Export” saves the selected Character's standard skill from the companion ZIP that comes with the pack. Choose the companion ZIP with “Choose the companion ZIP”, and when the name tag shows “Name tag: WI-T.COM signature valid”, press “Save the standard skill”. Skills regenerated by this app (“Regenerate and save”) still carry no WI-T.COM signature, as before. Regardless of the saving method, the resulting file remains subject to the terms applicable to the source Character Pack and Character, including any attribution requirements and restrictions on redistribution.
The signature state of the name tag is now shown with four badges: “Name tag: WI-T.COM signature valid”, “Name tag: WI-T.COM signature absent”, “Name tag: WI-T.COM signature unverified” and “Name tag: WI-T.COM signature verification failed”. This badge is separate from the Character badges. A valid signature on the name tag means only that the signed data was signed with the corresponding WI-T.COM key and has not been modified since it was signed. It does not indicate that the contents are accurate, safe, legally compliant, approved by WI-T.COM, or authorized for any particular use.
SAKU Builder now looks at where a Character came from before exporting it. Among rows that were saved before β.13 and have no record of where they came from, rows with the same ID as a pack Character are not exported. A Character that came back from AMU Studio is exported only when its original pack can be narrowed down to one.
A Character with no record of where it came from can now be confirmed as your own Character and exported. Press “Confirm as your own Character” in the details in “① Choose a Character”, then press “Yes” in the “Is this your own Character?” window. This confirmation records the user's declaration only. It does not mean that wi-t.com Inc. has verified or certified authorship, copyright or other rights, or authority to use the Character.
Saving in “② Edit the Character” now keeps where the original row came from. A pack Character you have edited stays an edited pack Character. “Download” and “Copy” in ② also go through the same check as .json / .yaml in ④.
The descriptions for the .json / .yaml export have been revised. You can read it back with “Import a single file” in this SAKU Builder. To paste into an AI prompt, copy the text to paste in “③ Run (prompt)”. The .json / .yaml tabs in ② now have the same guidance.
The button name in ⑤ “Adjust AI behavior” has been changed from “Apply this change” to “Open in Character editing with this content”. Pressing it takes you to ② Edit the Character. The Character does not change until you save it in ②.
In ⑤ “Adjust AI behavior”, an example that fits the selected symptom and item is shown. If you press the Tab key while the input field is empty, the example is entered.
Other fixes. The right-click menu is now the same on every screen. Help, the Manual and Trainer now open in the screen language. The button in “① Choose a Character” is now named “Load the samples”. Help and the Manual now cover the four name tag badges, the two ways to save in ④, the steps for confirming a Character as your own, and a new card, “Saving or exporting was refused”.
The scope of application of the Supplementary Terms for AI Products and Services has been expanded to cover the saving and export features. Section 02, items 6 and 7, and Section 07, item 9 apply to the use of the saving and export features initiated by users in SAKU Builder β.13 or later on or after October 24, 2026, at 20:00 (Japan time). The wording of these provisions remains unchanged. This expansion of scope does not apply retroactively to operations initiated before that date and time. For details, see the Notice of Expansion of the Scope of Application of the Supplementary Terms for AI Products and Services (https://www.wi-t.com/en-ai-product-terms).
SAKU Character Pack is now version 1.2.0
In version 1.2.0, we have changed the names and IDs of a total of four Characters in three packs. We made this change to avoid possible confusion with names or designations used by others.
Pack | Earlier name (ID) | New name (ID) |
Business & Management | Kirishima Reiji (霧島 レイジ) (kirishima-reiji) | Saino Michio (采野 ミチオ) (saino-michio) |
Business & Management | Segawa Aoi (瀬川 アオイ) (segawa-aoi) | Inaba Mizuki (因幡 ミズキ) (inaba-mizuki) |
Technical & Creative | Saotome So (早乙女 ソウ) (saotome-so) | Tanemura Arata (種村 アラタ) (tanemura-arata) |
Support & Teamwork | Onda Satoshi (恩田 サトシ) (onda-satoshi) | Toitani Hiraku (問谷 ヒラク) (toitani-hiraku) |
The only fields changed in the pack definitions are the display names and the IDs derived from those display names. This does not guarantee that an AI will respond or behave in exactly the same way.
The product download is an outer ZIP containing two ZIP files: the pack ZIP and the companion ZIP. SAKU Builder cannot read the outer ZIP directly, so extract it first. Use the companion ZIP with the Character Pack ZIP for the same pack and version contained in the same outer ZIP. SAKU Builder does not accept a combination from a different pack or version. To use the companion ZIP, SAKU Builder 0.1.0-beta.13 is required. The price is shown on the product page.
Customers who previously purchased version 1.1.0 or 1.0.0-beta may obtain version 1.2.0 at no additional charge. We impose no deadline or limit on the number of times it may be obtained. See https://www.wi-t.com/post/saku-character-pack-1-2-0-en for instructions.
If you use β.12
You can install β.13 over β.12 with the β.13 installer. The list of Characters, the import history and the Workspace location stay as they are.
To use “Save the pack standard” with a pack imported in β.12 or earlier, import the pack again from “① Choose a Character”.
What is included and how to check it (β.13)
Installer (Windows 10/11 x64) — SAKU.Builder_0.1.0-beta.13_x64-setup.exe (2,455,112 bytes)
Source ZIP — KOKOROSAKU-v0.1.0-beta.13.zip (4,225,864 bytes)
The installer and the application are code-signed, with wi-t.com Inc. shown as the signer. Verification of the code signature confirms only that wi-t.com Inc. is shown as the signer and that the signed file has not been modified since it was signed. It does not indicate that the contents are accurate, safe, or compliant with applicable laws and regulations. In PowerShell, run Get-AuthenticodeSignature <file name> and confirm that the signer is wi-t.com Inc. and the status is Valid. Even with a valid signature, Windows SmartScreen may display a warning until sufficient reputation has been established. Also verify the SHA-256 hash before running the file.
