Of the SAKU Character Packs, we have replaced the three products Business & Management, Support & Teamwork and Technical & Creative with version 1.2.0. This post gives the four Characters whose names and IDs have changed, the reason for the change, and the conditions and steps for customers who purchased version 1.1.0 or 1.0.0-beta of these three products. The subscriber pack itself remains version 1.1.0 and is not part of this replacement.
In the new version (1.2.0), we have changed the names and IDs of four Characters in the three packs below. We made this change to avoid possible confusion with names or designations used by others.
Pack | Earlier name | Earlier ID | New name | New ID |
Business & Management (saku-pack-business) | Kirishima Reiji (霧島 レイジ) | kirishima-reiji | Saino Michio (采野 ミチオ) | saino-michio |
Business & Management (saku-pack-business) | Segawa Aoi (瀬川 アオイ) | segawa-aoi | Inaba Mizuki (因幡 ミズキ) | inaba-mizuki |
Support & Teamwork (saku-pack-support) | Onda Satoshi (恩田 サトシ) | onda-satoshi | Toitani Hiraku (問谷 ヒラク) | toitani-hiraku |
Technical & Creative (saku-pack-technical) | Saotome So (早乙女 ソウ) | saotome-so | Tanemura Arata (種村 アラタ) | tanemura-arata |
The only fields changed in the pack definitions are the display names and the IDs derived from those display names. This does not guarantee that an AI will respond or behave in exactly the same way.
The Characters with the earlier names may continue to be used within the scope of the terms applicable at the time of purchase. To avoid confusion, however, please use version 1.2.0 with the new names and IDs when displaying a Character to a third party or creating new materials.
All other Characters keep their names and IDs.
How to receive and import version 1.2.0
Customers who previously purchased version 1.1.0 or 1.0.0-beta may obtain version 1.2.0 at no additional charge. There is no deadline or limit on the number of times they may obtain it. We will also send instructions for obtaining version 1.2.0 to the email address registered at the time of purchase. Eligible prior purchasers will receive a coupon code by email for placing a new order without payment. Each coupon may be used once per person for the Pack to which it applies. This one-use limit applies only to that coupon and does not limit the number of times version 1.2.0 of the Pack may be obtained. To obtain it again, if the download button in the email has expired, or if the coupon cannot be used, please contact us through the contact form on wi-t.com. We will arrange for you to receive version 1.2.0 at no additional charge.
To use the companion ZIP, SAKU Builder 0.1.0-beta.13 is required. If you use the companion ZIP with a pack that you imported with an earlier version of SAKU Builder, import the 1.2.0 pack ZIP again with SAKU Builder 0.1.0-beta.13.
Files saved or exported in SAKU Builder also remain subject to the terms applicable to the source Character Pack and Character, including attribution requirements and restrictions on redistribution.
The ZIP you receive is an outer package containing the Character Pack ZIP and the companion ZIP. The outer ZIP itself cannot be imported into SAKU Builder, so extract it first.
In “① Choose a Character,” select “Import a pack” and import the extracted Character Pack ZIP.
For the Characters in the same pack whose names have not changed, the “Replace Character” window appears once. Choose “Replace” to use the rows of the new version. Choose “Keep both” to keep the rows of the earlier version as well.
To save the standard skill, in “④ Export,” select “Save the pack standard” and choose the companion ZIP from the same outer ZIP. SAKU Builder does not accept a companion ZIP for a different pack or version.
Rows with the earlier names stay in the list
Because the IDs have changed, the Characters with the new names appear in the list as Characters separate from the rows with the earlier names. Importing the new version does not replace the rows with the earlier names; they stay as they are.
You may leave the rows with the earlier names as they are.
To remove one from the list, press the card of the Character with the earlier name in ①, then press “Delete”. Only that row is removed from the list. You can show removed rows with the “Deleted” filter and bring them back with “Undo delete”.
If you use a Character with an earlier name in AMU Studio, do not remove the row with that earlier name. If you remove it, the original pack of that Character cannot be traced when it comes back from AMU Studio, and SAKU Builder cannot save or export it (to bring the row back, use “Undo delete”).
“Clear list” removes every row in the list and cannot be undone. Do not use it to remove the rows with the earlier names.
Characters with earlier names that you have edited and saved stay as your edited Characters. They do not take the new names.
What you have passed to AMU Studio and other tools (exported files) also keeps the earlier names. To use the new names, export again from the Characters in the new version.
